Job Description: Grafana Architect Multi-Cloud & On-Prem Observability

Location: Basking Ridge, NJ (Onsite 3 days/week, local candidates only)

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (C2H)

Job Summary

Hiring a Grafana Architect with deep hands-on experience in designing and implementing observability and monitoring solutions across multi-cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and on-premise environments. This is a lead role focused on architecture, governance, implementation, and standardization of enterprise observability using Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, and related tools.

Must-Have Skills

  • 5+ years with Grafana (OSS/Enterprise) dashboard design, plugins, RBAC
  • Deep experience with Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, Alertmanager, OpenTelemetry
  • Strong in multi-cloud monitoring (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) + on-prem systems
  • Integration with CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Google Cloud Platform Ops Suite, SNMP, legacy tools
  • Infra-as-code using Terraform, Ansible, Helm, GitOps for monitoring setup
  • Strong scripting: Python, Bash
  • Proficiency in SLIs, SLOs, alerting strategy, telemetry standards
  • Expertise in Grafana Enterprise features, RBAC, LDAP/SAML
  • Strong troubleshooting in distributed systems & observability pipelines

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AIOps, anomaly detection
  • Knowledge of compliance/security standards (SOC2, PCI)
  • Familiarity with SIEM tools Splunk, Chronicle, Elastic
  • Log pipeline tools: Kafka, Fluent Bit, Vector

Certifications (Preferred)

  • Grafana Certified Observability Professional
  • AWS/Google Cloud Platform/Azure Solutions Architect (Associate/Pro)
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
