We are seeking a skilled and experienced ServiceNow Configuration & Asset Management Engineer to support and enhance our Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within the ServiceNow platform. This role is responsible for maintaining CMDB accuracy, supporting MID server operations, scripting discovery enhancements, and contributing to regulatory remediation efforts. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows and ensure alignment with ITIL and CSDM standards.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $79,000 to $146,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.

Essential Functions:
- Maintain and enhance the CMDB by managing configuration items (CIs), relationships, and data integrity within ServiceNow.
- Design and architect CMDB structures including classes, attributes, and relationships aligned with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
- Develop and implement policies and workflows to improve CMDB accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
- Support and maintain ServiceNow MID servers, including configuration and troubleshooting.
- Script and automate CMDB discovery processes; identify and implement new discovery opportunities across the IT environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to engineer solutions, document changes, and ensure alignment with CMDB standards.
- Participate in regulatory remediation efforts through process optimization and system enhancements.
- Conduct regular control procedures and audits to ensure CMDB health and completeness.
- Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for improvement in asset and configuration management.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Science) or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 10 years in Information Technology.
- Proven experience with ServiceNow, particularly in CMDB and Discovery modules.
- Experience supporting MID servers and scripting within ServiceNow.
- Familiarity with ITIL or ITSM frameworks.
Preferred certifications include:
- ServiceNow System Administrator
- ServiceNow Discovery and Mapping
- ServiceNow CMDB Foundations
Skills:
- ServiceNow CMDB Management. Expertise in managing configuration items (CIs), relationships, and data modeling.
- ServiceNow Discovery & MID Server Support. Experience configuring and maintaining MID servers and discovery probes.
- ServiceNow Scripting (JavaScript). Ability to automate and customize workflows within ServiceNow.
- ITIL / ITSM Frameworks. Strong understanding of configuration, incident, change, and problem management processes.
- Common Service Data Model (CSDM). Familiarity with aligning CMDB structure to CSDM standards.
- CMDB Data Quality & Governance. Experience with audits, data certification, and maintaining CMDB health.
- Asset Lifecycle Management. Knowledge of tracking assets from procurement through retirement.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication. Ability to work with technical teams and business units to deliver solutions.
- Regulatory Remediation Support. Experience adapting workflows and systems to meet compliance requirements.
- Process Improvement & Optimization. Identifying and implementing enhancements to CMDB and asset workflows.
