Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in mechanical design and CAD, and a basic understanding of electrical components. The ideal candidate will support product development, change management, and international sourcing initiatives across multiple departments. This role requires cross-functional collaboration with assembly, regulatory, quality, packaging, sales, and software teams to ensure product readiness, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Top 3 Must-Have Qualifications:
- Mechanical Design Expertise: 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design, including knowledge of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
- CAD Proficiency: Strong skills in SolidWorks or similar CAD tools.
- Basic Electrical Knowledge: Familiarity with electrical components and systems.
Nice to Have:
- Bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
Process Responsibilities:
- Change Management: Lead and execute product updates through the Change Management Process (CMP).
- Assembly Support: Collaborate with the assembly team to manage parts, build safety stock, and resolve product-related questions.
- BOM Management: Maintain and update Bills of Materials for all product configurations.
- Quality Assistance: Provide support in resolving product quality issues.
Additional Details:
Duration: 12 Months contract with the possibility of extension (Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
Pay range: $40 to $50/hour on W2
