Network Storage Engineer
Duration 12 months +
Location Remote Candidates in CST / EST preferred
Pay Range - $60-$70/hr W2 (No Benefits)
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Storage Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with NetApp, VAST, and other CIFS platforms, as well as proficiency in VMware and Windows operating systems. This role involves migrating storage solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Migration of storage mapped to a DFS namespace from NetApp to VAST. Day to day management of legacy NetApp, VAST, and CIFS platforms.
Management of Dell PowerVault and PowerStore arrays as part of a VMWare environment.
Monitor and optimize storage availability, performance and capacity.
Manage data protection and disaster recovery services and strategies.
Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues.
Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate storage solutions with existing infrastructure.
Maintain documentation and provide training to team members.
Manage and support VMware environments.
Administer and maintain Windows operating systems.
Qualifications:
Proven experience with PowerVault, Powerstore, NetApp, VAST, CIFS platforms, VMware, and Windows operating systems.
Strong understanding of storage protocols and technologies.
Experience with data protection and disaster recovery solutions.
Experience with DELL APEX AIOps, DELL Open Manage Enterprise and VMware Aria Suite.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications in storage technologies (e.g., NetApp Certified Data Administrator).
Experience with cloud storage solutions.
Knowledge of scripting and automation tools (robocopy, securecopy, powershell etc.)
VMware and Windows certifications.
