Job Summary

We are seeking a senior Kafka Consulting Engineer / Architect with deep expertise in Confluent Kafka and event streaming architectures. This role focuses on designing, optimizing, and supporting scalable distributed systems while leading customer engagements and mentoring engineering teams.

Must Have Skills

  • Confluent Kafka (architecture, implementation, optimization)

  • Event Streaming & Distributed Systems

  • Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform

  • Kafka ecosystem tools and integrations

  • Platform setup, monitoring, and migration

  • Strong architectural leadership and client-facing experience

Top Technical Skills (Required Years Considered)

  • Confluent Kafka: 8 10+ years

  • Cloud (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform): 6 8+ years

  • Apache Flink: 3 5+ years

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and design distributed event-streaming solutions using Confluent Kafka

  • Lead customer engagements across Data In Motion Blueprint (DIMB)

  • Assess and optimize Kafka platforms based on best practices and well-architected principles

  • Support platform setup, monitoring, and migration initiatives

  • Apply advanced architectural concepts such as Data Mesh and event-driven architectures

  • Act as Kafka SME across cloud, security, and data ecosystems

  • Mentor junior architects and engineers

  • Own and resolve complex technical challenges end-to-end
