Summary:

This role is key in maintaining seamless deployments and integrations in Salesforce and MuleSoft. You will own the release management lifecycle, collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions, and enhance DevOps capabilities to support both development agility and operational stability. You will contribute to enterprise DevOps standards, define best practices, and support automation and monitoring efforts across cloud integration environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage end-to-end release activities for Salesforce and MuleSoft environments.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce metadata and MuleSoft APIs using tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and GitHub.
  • Define and govern branching strategies, version control standards, and deployment processes.
  • Collaborate with platform architects and product teams to ensure release readiness and compliance with enterprise standards.
  • Manage risk assessments, release milestones, and Go/No-Go decisions for each release cycle.
  • Coordinate automated deployments across sandboxes, staging, and production environments.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies to improve release reliability and observability.
  • Contribute to the DevOps strategy for Salesforce and Integration platforms including pipeline modernization and tool rationalization.
  • Mentor and lead junior DevOps engineers, providing technical guidance and performance coaching.
  • Ensure release processes support scalable, secure, and compliant deployment patterns.
  • Establish tools and frameworks for repeatable deployment and integration patterns.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve deployment tools such as Copado, Gearset, AutoRabit, or Salesforce DevOps Center.
  • Troubleshoot environment and release-related issues, provide root cause analysis and resolutions.
  • Maintain documentation for all release processes and platform-specific deployment procedures.
  • Promote a DevOps culture focused on collaboration, automation, and quality assurance.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of hands-on DevOps or Release Engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of experience managing Salesforce releases, metadata deployments, and platform administration.
  • Experience managing MuleSoft deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
  • Strong experience with source control systems (e.g., GitHub, Azure DevOps, Bitbucket) and branching/merging strategies.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce DX and metadata API deployment models.
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Copado, Gearset, AutoRabit, and Salesforce DevOps Center.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell, PowerShell) for automation.
  • Proficiency with build and deployment tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure Pipelines).
  • Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and grow a DevOps team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in Agile environments with distributed teams.
Preferred Experience/Education
  • Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Platform Developer, DevOps Specialist).
  • MuleSoft certifications (Developer or Platform Architect).
  • Azure DevOps and/or other cloud platform certifications (AWS, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Development background in Apex, Java, or Python.
  • SAFe certification or familiarity with scaled Agile practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience migrating legacy deployment models to cloud-native DevOps frameworks.
  • Prior experience working with global remote teams across multiple time zones.
