Location: 95% remote, with occasional onsite work at 1 North Old State Capital Plaza, Springfield, IL, as needed. Expectation is for a few days per month, depending on project demands.

Position Overview:


We are seeking a Senior Platform Developer - Microsoft Dynamics 365 to join our dynamic team as part of the Product Management Transformation project. This initiative is focused on enhancing the way our DoIT@DCFS team delivers technical support, services, and capabilities to customers. As a Senior Platform Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing solutions on the Dynamics 365 platform, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.

In this role, you will collaborate with business and IT teams to develop custom modules, workflows, and integrations for Dynamics 365 CRM and ERP systems. You will be responsible for writing high-quality code, implementing platform best practices, and ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. Your work will be integral in ensuring the platform delivers on business needs while maintaining high standards of technical excellence.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and customize Dynamics 365 solutions (CRM, ERP, Finance, Operations), including custom plugins, workflows, scripts, and integrations with other enterprise systems.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and translate business needs into technical solutions using the Dynamics 365 platform.
  • Write and maintain high-quality code, following best practices in performance, scalability, and security, ensuring compliance with relevant standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
  • Integrate Dynamics 365 with third-party systems and legacy applications using APIs, data migration tools, and custom connectors.
  • Provide ongoing technical support, troubleshooting, and performance tuning to ensure the platform meets business expectations and runs smoothly.
  • Collaborate with solution architects, platform engineers, and development teams to design and develop scalable solutions aligned with business and IT strategies.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide mentorship to junior developers, and contribute to the improvement of development practices across the team.
  • Utilize tools such as Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines, version control, and project tracking to ensure timely and efficient delivery of solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with security protocols and industry regulations, incorporating automated auditing and governance where necessary.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience developing on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform, including CRM and ERP modules.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing custom solutions using JavaScript, C#, .NET, and Power Platform tools (PowerApps, Power Automate).
  • Strong experience in building and integrating Dynamics 365 with other enterprise applications using APIs, Azure Services, and third-party tools.
  • Solid understanding of cloud-based architectures, particularly Microsoft Azure, with experience in deploying and managing Dynamics 365 solutions in cloud environments.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and scale Dynamics 365 applications, ensuring high performance and security.
  • Experience with data migration, transformation, and integration methodologies, ensuring data accuracy and smooth workflows across systems.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, using tools like Azure DevOps for continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and version control.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Power BI for advanced reporting and data visualization on Dynamics 365.
  • Familiarity with Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Azure Service Bus for integrating Dynamics 365 with external systems.
  • Experience working in public sector environments, particularly within child welfare or social services.
  • Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Developer Associate or equivalent certifications.
  • Knowledge of security and compliance standards, including HIPAA, NIST, and GDPR.

1. Hybrid Role: Location: 95% remote, with occasional onsite work at 1 North Old State Capital Plaza, Springfield, IL, as needed. Expectation is for a few days per month, depending on project demands.

2. SAFE Agile Certifications: A Safe Agile Scrum Master certification is required for the Scrum Master role. Candidates for Business Analyst, Solution Architect, and Platform Architect are highly recommended to have Safe Agile Training and current certifications. These candidates will be preferred over non-trained and non-certified candidates. ANY Safe Agile training or certification is HIGHLY preferred for any role in the PMT project.

3. Onboarding and start date: While multiple positions are open for this requirement - the actual required start date will be scheduled on a week-by-week basis by the Account Delivery Team. Please communicate to the candidate that we have roles open to start immediately, but we will also have roles open to start as late as December 2024. If the candidate isn't immediately available, they can still be considered for the role. To coordinate an estimated start date for a valid candidate (once they have been internally screened), please coordinate with Srikanth.

4. Local and Military (Veteran) Candidates: Local and veteran candidates are highly recommended. While the position is remote/Hybrid, local candidates will more easily be able to work with the client on this long-term engagement. Veteran candidates are also strongly preferred whenever possible.
