About the Role
As an IT Infrastructure and Operations Level 3 specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting, maintaining, and enhancing laboratory IT systems and services. You will act as the primary technical point of contact for operational support, troubleshooting, and implementation of new and existing lab infrastructure. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, scientists, facilities, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure reliable and efficient laboratory operations.
You will be responsible for driving continuous improvement, identifying opportunities for innovation, and ensuring all systems meet business and compliance requirements. Your expertise will help bridge the gap between IT and laboratory operations, enabling scientific teams to focus on their core work.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 3 technical support and operational management for laboratory IT infrastructure and applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to lab systems, hardware, and software.
- Collaborate with scientists, facilities, and IT teams to deliver and implement new laboratory systems and upgrades.
- Maintain and update the Inventory/CMDB for all lab IT assets.
- Work closely with vendors and remote support teams to ensure high availability and performance of lab solutions.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with IT service delivery standards and business requirements.

- PowerShell scripting
Essential Experience
- Proven experience in Level 3 IT infrastructure and operations support.
- Strong background in technical troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Experience with IT service delivery and vendor management.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in the Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry in IT environments.
- Familiarity with laboratory or medical applications and hardware.
- 1st/2nd Line support experience.
- Experience with ticketing systems, CMDB, and Incident/Request management software.
