About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect and ETL Lead to support data architecture, design integration, transformation efforts for the Enercare account. You will collaborate with stakeholders across business and IT to modernize and optimize Enercare's data platform.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the architecture and modeling of enterprise data, integration solutions with an emphasis on scalability, performance, and security.
Define and maintain data architecture standards, patterns, and best practices across the Enercare data ecosystem.
Implement and maintain data quality and data governance frameworks in collaboration with data stewards and governance teams.
Design, develop, and implement robust ETL pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory, or equivalent.
Optimize and troubleshoot ETL processes to improve reliability and performance.
Oversee data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and loading across multiple data sources and targets (on-premise and cloud).
Partner with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
Provide leadership and mentoring to Data engineers and ETL developers.
Support regulatory compliance efforts, ensuring data privacy and security practices align with corporate and industry standards.

Required Skills & Experience:
8+ years of experience in data architecture, database design, integration, ETL, roles.
Deep understanding of SQL, relational databases, and data modeling techniques (dimensional, normalized).
Proficiency in Azure cloud data services (Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse, etc.).
Strong hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory).
Proven experience designing and delivering large-scale data platforms, including data lakes and data warehouses.
Strong background in data governance, metadata management, and data quality tools.
Experience working in agile environments and familiarity with DevOps for data (CI/CD, version control, etc.).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in the utilities or home services sector is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft Azure certification
Experience with Kafka, Spark, or real-time data streaming tools.
Familiarity with Canadian data privacy laws and compliance standards.
