This person should also be equipped to communicate and create plans with cross functional teams to deliver on data strategy. Communication is very important here.**
Description
We are seeking a Technical Analytics Consultant to support the implementation of advanced analytics and consent management tools. This role requires advanced expertise in Google Tag Manager (GTM), Google Analytics 4 (GA4), consent management applications like TrustArc, and specialized data integration techniques, including proficiency in BigQuery, data visualization, and reporting tools like Tableau and Looker Studio.
The ideal candidate will bring technical depth, a problem-solving mindset, and a proven track record in delivering complex implementations within dynamic environments. They will also bring a FUNCTIONAL depth and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data collection, seamless integration, and compliance with privacy standards. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for establishing consistent naming conventions, developing comprehensive analytics strategies, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
Google Tag Manager (GTM)
Custom Tag Creation: Design and implement custom tags beyond pre-built templates.
Expert Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS selectors for tag customization and integration.
Expertise in dataLayer configuration, HTTP requests/responses, DOM elements, and Regular Expressions.
Adept in SPA (Single-Page Application), mobile, progressive web tracking, for accurate data across user journeys.
Testing & Debugging: Skilled in GTM's Preview mode and tools like Chrome Developer Tools for troubleshooting.
Version Control & Deployment: Manage GTM version promotions with structured audits and experience with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines via Concourse for automated deployments.
Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
Implementation & Configuration: Expertise in GA4 property setup, including data streams, cross-domain tracking, and data redaction for privacy compliance. Skilled in integrating GA4 with GTM for event tracking, defining custom dimensions, and eCommerce tracking for transaction and revenue analysis. Proficiency in User ID tracking to analyze user behavior across devices.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Advanced event modeling and funnel tracking for user journey optimization. Mitigation of challenges related to data sampling and cardinality. Expert in building tailored metrics and using GA4's Explorations for in-depth analysis and audience segmentation.
Integration & Enhancements: Advanced integrations with external tools for enriched analysis. Development of audience segments and triggers for precise targeting and reporting.
Data Integration and Advanced Analytics
Advanced SQL Proficiency: Expertise in writing complex SQL queries, optimizing performance, and managing large datasets for efficient analysis and reporting.
BigQuery Expertise: Skilled in creating and managing datasets in BigQuery to enable efficient querying and actionable analysis.
Data Integration and Ingestion: Experienced in ingesting data from BigQuery into Snowflake, ensuring data integrity and facilitating seamless integration across systems.
Visualization and Reporting: Experience in using Tableau and Looker Studio to output processed data, creating dynamic dashboards and visualizations aligned with business objectives.
Naming Conventions
GTM: Establish scalable, descriptive names for tags, triggers, and variables to improve collaboration and debugging.
GA4: Standardize event names, parameters, and metrics for consistent reporting and analysis.
Consent Management & Privacy Controls
Consent Modes: Expert in Google Consent Mode (GCM) configuration, including advanced setups via GTM. Proficient in GCM v2 for balancing compliance with tracking needs.
Cookies & Privacy: Skilled in preserving analytics functionality while maintaining PII compliance. Experience managing consent-related triggers and cookies to optimize tracking.
Privacy Management Tools: Hands-on experience with TrustArc for enforcing privacy policies and compliance monitoring. Understanding of Non-Personalized Ads (NPA) and the ability to align tracking with consent preferences.
Analytics Strategy Development
KPI Definition & Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business objectives and develop relevant KPIs. Create detailed measurement plans outlining tracking requirements and reporting structures.
Implementation & Optimization: Develop and guide implementation to align analytics frameworks with measurement goals. Continuously optimize tracking setups to meet evolving business needs.
Required Qualifications
Advanced proficiency in GTM, GA4, and consent management tools like TrustArc.
Expert skills in SQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Specialized knowledge in BigQuery, Snowflake, Tableau, and Looker Studio.
Experience with data privacy regulations and compliance frameworks.
Proven ability to implement and optimize analytics tools in complex environments.
Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $85.00/hr.
