Job Title: Technology Implementation Specialist
Location: West Bay Shore, NY 11706
Duration:12 months contract
Description:
New Store Installation
The installation of new technology at a new Nordstrom store. The work will be performed by a team of (2) experienced technicians who will follow all applicable safety and security procedures.
Description of Services and Specifications
New Store Installation - The equipment that will be installed is listed in the appendix.
Locate and unbox all core infrastructure equipment Mount and connect all LAN/WAN equipment (2 routers & 6 switches) Mount and connect all compute technology (2 servers) Complete wireless access point, station and patch panel cross connects Locate and unbox workstations, phones and POS equipment Install all client devices on the sales floor, stock rooms and in office areas Install POS systems at cash wraps Perform initial and final validations of all technology Install Wireless Inventory Handheld Terminals Install label printers Unbox and setup MobilePOS devices and storage.
Apply wire management best practices where applicable
Cash Wrap Moves (schedule and locations TBD)
Uninstall and remove the complete POS system, security cage and all components including telephone and any connected peripherals from cash wraps Relocate the POS hardware and any other identified equipment to a new temporary or new permanent location as indicated Relocate network and voice cross connect patch cables located in the main network distribution room Validate functionality of point of sale and telephone prior to completion of project tasks
