Description

SAIC is seeking experienced and security-cleared engineering personnel to support Operational Evaluation in the Air Force's Air Operations Center (AOC) Falconer Weapon System team at Langley AFB, Virginia. This position requires technical engineering and systems/network administration experience, with a demonstrated understanding and application of systems engineering and operational testing; AOC mission planning/scheduling processes, tools, and applications; and configuration management principles and process to sustain and evolve the AOC baseline. The successful candidate will be effective at face-to-face interaction with Air Force customers and other contractors to respond to requests for information, support to technical meetings, technical interchanges and enterprise working groups. The candidate must be able to work independently and represent the program and SAIC at meetings and working groups with government and associate contractors.

Responsibilities include:
  • Design automated tests using industry standard tools to include UFT One, Visual Basic programming, VB script language and SQL for the development and maintenance of test drivers and scripts for a variety of interfaces and applications.
  • Schedule and conduct functional tests, submit errors and issues to development for correction, test corrected code and track defects.
  • Collaborate with manual testers to e nsure testing solutions meet the acceptance criteria of business requirements.
  • Test functionality of systems after critical security updates to ensure that changes do not introduce unintended bugs or issues.
  • Develop and enhance existing test automation framework consisting of functional libraries and object repositories.
  • Document and present test progress and results.
  • Continually develop skills to deploy the most innovative solutions for continuous improvement of testing capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and complete tasks while balancing multiple assignments.
  • Highly motivated with the capabilities for independent thought, problem solving and dedication to task completion.
  • Ability to work on a high-performance team pursuing strict schedule requirements.
  • Experience in the agile developmental process.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Education:
  • BS in Computer Science, a related engineering field, STEM degree, or 5 years relevant and applicable experience in lieu of degree.

Minimum of 2 years' experience in at least 4 of the following:
  • Experience working with Scrum/Agile software delivery teams
  • 2+ years test automation experience
  • A thorough understanding of VB Scripting language
  • Knowledge and understanding of test automation frameworks
  • Understanding of test stories and acceptance criteria in the JIRA workspace
  • Experience with Confluence and MS Excel including the use of Excel formulas for performing calculations

Desired Skills:
  • Expert understanding of technical diagrams, documentation, configuration, and operations.
  • Knowledge of AOC, its mission, and systems on current Block 10 baseline.
  • Experience with UFT and/or similar technologies, proficiency in programming languages such as Visual Basic and C# and an understanding of database queries for data retrieval and validation.
  • Microsoft Office to include MS Excel including use of Excel formulas for performing calculations.
