Job Title: SAP Project Manager (Calgary, Alberta)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead critical prework activities for a large-scale SAP transformation initiative. The successful candidate will manage and coordinate SAP Security Design, Data Cleanup, and other preparatory activities essential for a smooth and efficient transition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end SAP transformation prework projects including Security Design, Data Cleanup, Data Migration Readiness, and Governance activities.
  • Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, track progress, and ensure timely completion of milestones.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements, design security roles, and drive data quality initiatives.
  • Coordinate with SAP functional, technical, and security teams to ensure project alignment.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize business impact.
  • Provide regular project status updates to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with SAP security best practices, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage resource allocation, budgets, and vendor relationships as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the SAP environment during prework activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
  • 8+ years of project management experience, with 5+ years managing SAP projects (ECC, S/4HANA preferred).
  • Proven experience in SAP Security Design, Data Cleanup, Data Governance, and Data Migration projects.
  • Solid understanding of SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, SD, MM, PP, HCM) and integration points.
  • Experience with SAP project methodologies (e.g., ASAP, Activate).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management abilities.
  • PMP, Scrum Master, or equivalent certification a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with large SAP transformations, migrations, or greenfield implementations.
  • Knowledge of SAP GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance).
  • Familiarity with tools like ServiceNow, SAP Solution Manager, or other project tracking platforms.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environments.
