Clearance Requirement: U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
About the RoleWe are seeking a Senior EMC/EMI Electrical Engineer to support pre-qualification and qualification testing for products and subsystems of moderate to high complexity. This role involves hands-on work in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), electromagnetic interference (EMI), and power input qualification testing to ensure compliance with military and commercial standards, including MIL-STD-461 and DO-160.
This position is ideal for an engineer with strong technical and communication skills who can work independently, manage multiple projects, and collaborate across teams.
Key Responsibilities-
Serve as the focal point for EMC/EMI testing activities on assigned projects.

Review requirements, prepare test plans, and generate repeatable test procedures.

Perform EMI and power input testing in accordance with military and commercial standards.

Validate laboratory test setups, coordinate scheduling, and ensure accurate data collection.

Support design engineers by providing EMC-related guidance and feedback.

Conduct root cause analysis and prepare technical reports.

Train and assist technicians with test procedures and troubleshooting.

Identify and request equipment or lab improvements to support future projects.

Travel as needed (up to 20%).
Required:
-
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (or 3 years with an advanced degree).

Experience with circuit board design, schematic capture tools, and PCB layout guidance.

Familiarity with EM/circuit simulation tools.

Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
Preferred:
-
Experience with military aerospace standards (DO-160, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704).

Hands-on troubleshooting using oscilloscopes, signal generators, and similar lab equipment.

RF hardware development life cycle experience (requirements through testing).

Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and presentations.

iNARTE certification (or willingness to pursue).
