Job Description
- Lead the selection and implementation of appropriate data warehousing technologies, including database platforms, ETL/ELT tools, and BI platforms.
- Work with business stakeholders, data analysts, data scientists, and BI developers to understand business needs and create data warehouse specifications.
- Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models, ensuring alignment with business requirements and best practices.
- Design and architect the data warehouse and BI architecture, including integration, storage, processing, and presentation, either independently or in collaboration with external consultants.
- Work closely with Enterprise IT teams, including SAP infrastructure and database administrators, as well as enterprise system developers and administrators.
- Develop, implement, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines, designing efficient ETL/ELT processes to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources (e.g., SAP, Hyperion, PLM/QMS systems, flat files, APIs) into the data warehouse.
- Develop and oversee a future roadmap for optimizing cloud data architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Design and implement real-time and batch data processing solutions using modern data processing frameworks and tools.
- Ensure data security, compliance, governance, quality, and effective metadata management.
- Manage the software development lifecycle related to the data warehouse and create standard operating procedures.
- Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization.
