Position Overview:
The Azure Platform Engineer role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining Azure-based infrastructure solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our Azure cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure services, automation, and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage Azure infrastructure solutions to meet the organization's requirements.
- Develop and implement best practices for Azure resource provisioning, configuration, and optimization.
- Collaborate with development teams to architect and deploy highly available and scalable applications on Azure.
- Implement automation tools and processes to streamline deployment, monitoring, and maintenance tasks.
- Monitor the performance and health of Azure resources and take proactive measures to optimize performance and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and policies by implementing appropriate security controls and configurations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues in a timely manner.
- Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role, with a focus on the Azure cloud platform.
- In-depth knowledge of Azure services including computing, Storage, Networking, and Security.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Azure CLI.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and experience with Azure networking services.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Azure Administrator Associate.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures and integration with on-premises infrastructure.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
