Department Overview:
The IT Asset Management (ITAM) team at Northwell Health is responsible for the lifecycle oversight, compliance, and optimization of all enterprise IT hardware assets across the organization. As part of the broader Information Services division, the ITAM team ensures accountability, visibility, and governance over Servers, Storage, Telehealth, Network, and Endpoint hardware. With the recent adoption of ServiceNow's HAMPro module, our team is focused on aligning asset processes across departments, driving enterprise compliance, and establishing operational excellence through data integrity, lifecycle management, and routine audits. We collaborate closely with Field Services, the ServiceNow Platform Team, and asset stakeholders to ensure accurate tracking and continuous process improvement.

Monitors and supports highly critical and highly available health system infrastructure, which support the systems applications. Collaborates with senior engineering, network/data center operations, project management and service desk staff to provide operational support of assigned systems within established timelines.

Job Description

Job Responsibility
- Develops and maintains infrastructure within the area of expertise.
- Develops, recommends, implements, and evaluates approved policies and procedures (and updates) relating to the supported infrastructure.
- Coordinates and provides technical assistance, and software upgrades for supported infrastructure.
- Operates under general guidance and work assignments are varied and require interpretation and independent decisions on course of action.

Job Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, particularly the Hardware Asset Management (HAMPro) modules
- Basic understanding of IT hardware asset lifecycle stages (receive, deploy, reclaim, dispose)
- Experience assisting with hardware inventory tracking, asset reconciliation, and audit support
- Perform onsite auditing activities
- Experience supporting warehouse or stockroom operations, including inventory counts, asset reconciliation, and on-site audits
- Ability to identify and correct discrepancies in asset records under supervision
- Exposure to IT infrastructure equipment, such as laptops, servers, networking gear, or telehealth devices
- Comfort working with large data sets and using Excel or similar tools for reconciliation and reporting
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining accurate asset records
- Effective communication skills for working with technical teams and end users
- Willingness to learn ITAM tools, processes, and compliance standards
- ITAM-related coursework, certifications (e.g., CHAMP, HAMPro), or ServiceNow training a plus
