Overview
We are seeking experienced Product Managers / Product Owners to support and evolve our clients investment operations and trading ecosystem, with a focus on the Charles River Investment Management System (CRIMS). This role is a critical bridge between technology, operations, and investment professionals, ensuring that Charles River is fully optimized to support portfolio management, compliance, trading, and order management workflows.
You will drive the roadmap, adoption, and continuous enhancement of the platform while ensuring alignment with business strategy, regulatory standards, and operational excellence.

Overview
We are seeking experienced Product Managers / Product Owners to support and evolve our clients investment operations and trading ecosystem, with a focus on the Charles River Investment Management System (CRIMS). This role is a critical bridge between technology, operations, and investment professionals, ensuring that Charles River is fully optimized to support portfolio management, compliance, trading, and order management workflows.
You will drive the roadmap, adoption, and continuous enhancement of the platform while ensuring alignment with business strategy, regulatory standards, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Product Owner for Charles River (CRIMS) within an Agile team, managing the product backlog and roadmap.
- Partner with portfolio managers, traders, compliance, and operations stakeholders to gather, analyze, and prioritize business requirements.
- Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications to ensure delivery of high-value features.
- Collaborate with engineers, business analysts, and vendors to deliver enhancements and resolve system issues.
- Drive platform governance, workflows, and data integrity to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
- Evaluate new Charles River modules, upgrades, and integrations with OMS, EMS, compliance, risk, and accounting systems.
- Provide thought leadership on investment technology trends, influencing platform strategy and CRIMS adoption.
- Develop and track KPIs and reporting to measure system usage, stability, and value delivered.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) across the product lifecycle: ideation, implementation, testing, rollout, and ongoing support.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or Business Analyst within investment management or capital markets.
- Hands-on expertise with Charles River (CRIMS) modules: order management, compliance, portfolio management, or trading.
- Strong understanding of the front-to-back investment lifecycle (portfolio construction, pre-/post-trade compliance, trading, settlement, performance).
- Proven success in Agile/Scrum environments, including backlog management, writing user stories, and delivering features with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with portfolio managers, traders, and technology teams.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., SEC, MiFID II) and their impact on investment workflows.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or related field; CFA or advanced degree a plus.
