Job Details

We cannot work with any vendors/subcontractors. We need someone who can work with us directly with us.

We are seeking a strong Java Developer who is eager to expand into mobile automation testing using Appium. The ideal candidate has solid Java programming skills, experience writing automation scripts, and is highly motivated to learn new testing frameworks on the job. This is an onsite role in Irving, TX, supporting our QA automation and development teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Java.

  • Learn and implement Appium for mobile automation testing (training/mentorship provided).

  • Collaborate with QA and Dev teams to design automation frameworks and test strategies.

  • Work on integrating automation tests into CI/CD pipelines.

  • Debug automation issues, analyze failures, and support root-cause analysis.

  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.

  • Ensure high-quality delivery of automation solutions across mobile and web platforms.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 2 5+ years of experience as a Java Developer or Automation Engineer.

  • Strong Java coding skills, including OOP, collections, and exception handling.

  • Experience writing automation scripts using any framework (Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar).

  • Basic understanding of REST APIs and automation testing principles.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and willingness to learn Appium quickly.

  • Ability to work onsite in Irving, TX Monday Friday.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have)

  • Exposure to test automation frameworks (Selenium, Appium, TestNG, Maven/Gradle).

  • Experience with Git, CI/CD tools (Jenkins/GitLab CI), or mobile testing concepts.

  • Knowledge of Android Studio or Xcode is a plus.
