Role : Telecom Solution Architect

Location : Denver or St. Louis

A Telecom Solution Architect designs and oversees the implementation of telecommunication solutions by translating business needs into technical specifications for networks, cloud platforms, and applications. Key responsibilities include leading architecture, collaborating with teams to define solutions, ensuring alignment with industry standards like 3GPP and TM Forum, and providing technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
    • Design and architect solutions: Develop blueprints and technical specifications for end-to-end telecom solutions, including core and radio access networks (RAN), OSS/BSS, and digital services.
    • Requirement analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient, and secure technical solutions.
    • Technical leadership: Provide guidance to technical teams throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to implementation and support.
    • Technology selection: Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, platforms, and vendors to meet project goals.

  • Ensure compliance and standards: Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, compliance requirements, and industry best practices (e.g., 3GPP, TM Forum).
  • Address performance and scalability: Design solutions with scalability, reliability, performance, and security as key considerations.
  • Proof-of-concept (PoC): Lead PoC initiatives and pilot deployments to validate proposed solutions.
  • Documentation and communication: Document best practices and effectively communicate technical details and project benefits to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required skills and qualifications
  • Technical expertise: Strong knowledge of telecommunications domains such as 5G, 4G/LTE, OSS/BSS, and network protocols (e.g., SIP, Diameter).
  • Cloud and cloud-native design: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and cloud-native concepts like microservices, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Development and integration: Proficiency in core programming languages (e.g., Java) and experience with APIs (REST/SOAP) and integration strategies.
  • Soft skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills to translate technical information for diverse audiences.
  • Knowledge of industry frameworks: Familiarity with frameworks like TOGAF and TM Forum is beneficial.
