Job Details

Location: Lexington, NC
Salary: $40.00 USD Hourly - $50.00 USD Hourly
Description: Our client is currently seeking an Engineering Technician for a 10 month + contract.

Location: Lexington, NC (Primary) Travel to Sacramento, CA (Occasional)

Role
As an Industrial Engineering Analyst, you will play a key role in optimizing train coach assembly processes by using Timer Pro Software to analyze video footage and develop standard work documentation. Your insights will directly support productivity, quality, and safety improvements across our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze train coach assembly footage using Timer Pro Software to identify process steps and time studies
  • Develop and maintain standard work documentation to support lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate and implement process improvements
  • Travel occasionally to Sacramento, CA to support on-site analysis and coordination
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying inefficiencies and recommending solutions

Minimum Qualifications
  • Prior experience in industrial engineering or manufacturing process analysis
  • Proficiency with Timer Pro or similar time study/process analysis tools
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret complex assembly processes
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Willingness to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in rail or heavy manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and standard work development
  • Technical degree or certification in industrial engineering or related field (not required)
