Experience Level: 8+ years of experience in SAP Basis or Platform Administration, with a minimum of 5 plus years focused on the specified technologies.

Roles & Responsibilities: Platform Administration & Operations:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert and lead for all administrative functions of the SAP BW (Business Warehouse), SAP BusinessObjects (BO), and SAP Data Services (DS) platforms.
  • Perform platform configuration, tuning, and ongoing maintenance to ensure optimal performance, stability, and availability.
  • Manage system refreshes, upgrades, patching, and migrations for all three platforms.
  • Implement and manage system monitoring tools and processes to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Oversee backup and recovery strategies for the SAP platforms.

Incident, Problem, and Change Management:

  • Act as the primary technical escalation point for all high-severity incidents related to the SAP BW, SAP BO, and SAP DS platforms.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) efforts for recurring platform issues.
  • Manage and execute all change requests related to the SAP environments, ensuring compliance with established change control procedures.
  • Implement ITIL-based processes to streamline platform support and maintenance activities.

Security & Governance:

  • Manage and maintain user roles, authorizations, and security profiles within SAP BW, SAP BO, and SAP DS.
  • Enforce strict security protocols and compliance standards in line with US defense customer requirements.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments of the SAP platforms.
  • Work closely with the Program Manager and client security teams to ensure the platforms meet all regulatory and contractual security obligations.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Lead and mentor a team of SAP administrators, if applicable, or serve as the sole lead resource for these platforms.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, reporting leads, and business stakeholders to ensure the platform meets their technical requirements.
  • Provide expert-level recommendations for platform improvements, scalability, and new technologies.

Key Skills & Qualifications: SAP Administration Expertise:

  • Extensive hands-on experience as a Platform Administrator for SAP BW, SAP Business Objects, and SAP Data Services.
