Job Details

Role: Business Data analyst with US Regulatory & FDIC experience (Onsite/Hybrid 3 day per week)
Location: Mount Laurel, NJ
Duration: C2C

Primary skill: Business Data analyst with Oracle SQL expertise & Azure, Banking domain with Regulatory & FDIC experience
Nice to Have: Agile Methodologies, JIRA/Confluence

Responsibilities:

  • Business Data analyst with SQL expertise
  • Any data engineering skills with in-depth banking domain knowledge regarding US Regulations and FDIC specifically
  • Excellent communicator, Self-managed/starter, good business/tech communicator, troubleshooting, bug fixes/identification/root analysis.
  • Strong Problem-Solving skills
  • Banking experience or product domain knowledge.
  • Oracle SQL/Azure
  • JIRA/Confluence
  • Agile Methodologies (Kanban/Scrum experience)"

BDA Role as below

  • Business Data Requirements (not technical system requirements)
  • Work with Data Owners/ Data Stewards/ LOBs/ Business Users to develop/validate/refine business requirements
  • Liaise with data users to elicit, analyze, and document business data curation requests (user stories)
  • Write requests (user stories) and BRDs describing project business requirements.
  • View, Validate, and Profile data in TD Assets/3rd Party Vendor assets using various tools (SQL Developer, Alteryx, Python, SAS) to ensure the asset contains the needed data/elements
  • Work with data stewards to understand current fields and their definitions/calculation
  • Work with business partners on User support stories - asset access, guiding principles, proper usage, training
  • Partner with BSAs to validate/update business/technical logic in technology owned documents to ensure it meets the business data requirement
  • Define, manage, and maintain business application repository and make sure the production inventory is up to date
  • Support IT Sol. Lead to analyze current state of data flow and table update behavior.
  • Business Testing (not SIT -QE or UAT - LOBs)
  • Oversee testing progress/leading business acceptance testing efforts in all environments
  • Work with project teams to obtain a list of data elements impacted to prepare for BAT/functional testing
  • Assist with the development of test plan for projects and BAU work; ensuring all business data requirements/data elements are thoroughly tested
  • Validate test data/table loads prior to start of BAT/functional Testing
  • BAT/functional Testing in all environments DEV/SIT/PAT/Production
  • Review business data impact analysis with end users to validate what was built meets their needs or to document acceptable threshold variance approvals
  • Verification of records counts in source and target systems/databases during BAT/functional testing
  • Matching of data sets for the backfills
  • Assist power users with preProd UAT
  • Design and create code to specification SQL scripts based on technical logic to store in repository for data element regression BAT/functional testing
  • Raise and track defects found during BAT/functional testing/UAT to ensure corrected before production release
  • Audit reference files to ensure accurate data
  • Obtain and document sign off from end users on BAT/Functional Testing results
  • Project Coordination/Administration
  • Coordinate with Product Group to meet release dates
  • Coordinate with Business Teams/Product Groups to ensure product is delivered timely and correctly
  • Attend all project meetings and ceremonies
  • Production Support
  • Work with SQL / ETL Dev's on projects that require production code development
  • Work with Stakeholders to assess solution performance in production and tweak if necessary
