Software Quality Engineer
Location : Remote
Lonfg Term

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain automated regression suites for web UI and REST APIs.
  • Stand up GitLab CI integrated test pipelines for fast, reliable feedback. (Hard requirement)
  • Integrate test coverage with third-party BI platforms (embed flows, permissions, performance checks). (Hard requirement)
  • Manually test changes until automation coverage is mature.
  • Author living documentation and champion shift-left practices.
  • Standardize and maintain automation frameworks using the team's existing tools (Java/Selenium preferred).

Requirements:

  • 5+ years as SDET/SQE with automation experience (Java/Selenium required; Playwright or Cypress a plus).
  • Comfortable being the only SQE on the team and taking full ownership of quality engineering for the project.
  • Hands-on experience with GitLab CI for test orchestration and reporting. (Hard requirement)
  • Demonstrated experience integrating tests with third-party BI platforms (e.g., embedding, auth/SSO, data validation). (Hard requirement)
  • Experience with Postman or similar tools (API testing) preferred.
  • Snowflake, Tableau, and ThoughtSpot experience is a plus.
  • For this longer-term contract, candidates are expected to use the team's existing automation tools and frameworks.
