Position: Security Analyst 3 or 4

Location: Charlotte, NC

Onsite 4x/week

Contract Length: 12+ months

Top Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field

2. 3+ years of experience in IT security, audit, or disaster recovery planning

3. Strong understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, PCI-DSS, NIST)

4. Experience with risk assessment tools and methodologies

5. Excellent analytical and communication skills

6. Ability to work cross-functionally with technical teams

Day to Day Responsibilities/project specifics: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Security & Recovery Analyst to join our team. This role is critical in supporting our audit function, developing robust recovery strategies, and ensuring the security and compliance of our data center environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation, with the ability to identify vulnerabilities that may be overlooked by non-security personnel.

Serve as a key contributor to the audit function, especially during initial onboarding.

Assist in preparing documentation and evidence for internal and external audits.

Collaborate with Business Analysts to design and implement application recovery plans.

Define recovery scenarios based on varying security threats and operational risks.

Conduct comprehensive assessments of the IT environment to ensure data protection.

Identify areas for improvement in data security and recommend actionable solutions.

Ensure full compliance with relevant regulatory and industry security standards.

Detect and analyze security gaps that may not be apparent to non-security stakeholders.

Proactively recommend mitigation strategies to strengthen the overall security posture.

Evaluate all components of the data center infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network configurations.

Provide insights and recommendations to optimize performance and security.
