We are seeking a Principal Engineer to orchestrate this evolution, shaping the next generation of our retail, corporate, and e-commerce infrastructure. You'll be a member of the InfraTech core leadership team and will work cross functionally across all areas of business and technology. This is a strategic position within the Engineering discipline, providing technical leadership in planning, executing, and supporting business initiatives. You will influence our technology direction and impact strategic decisions across our business.

A Day in the Life...
  • Lead and influence across multiple organizations to solve business and technical problems, while building and maintaining alignment with our partner teams
  • Collaborate cross functionally to build vision, develop strategy and contribute to team roadmaps
  • Coach at all levels and mentor teams in the application of engineering principles to achieve design goals and meet a high-quality bar
  • Identify and proactively address areas of improvement in design, implementation, and process to enhance system reliability, reduce production downtime and drive a culture of operational excellence
  • Identifies opportunities to support continuous improvement through performance instrumentation
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for high-impact production incidents, ensuring timely resolution and continuous refinement of troubleshooting protocols.

You own this if you have...
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or related fields, with hands-on experience designing, building, deploying and supporting applications and infrastructure.
  • Engineering experience and deep technical knowledge across multiple technology domains (e.g. operations engineering, cloud architecture, microservices architecture and distributed systems)
  • Strong background with traffic management, (CDN, load balancing), hybrid/multi-cloud connectivity and network security
  • Progressive experience with NOC/SOC and SRE functions, focused on observability, resiliency, failover strategies, service continuity and performance optimization.
  • Proficiency with GitOps framework and development experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform) building automation frameworks (Python, Go) and strong experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Proven track record designing and delivering large scale solutions for diverse business stakeholders
  • Proactive and entrepreneurial mindset capable of matching business opportunities with flexible technology strategies
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust and maintain transparency with our customers and partners
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset, fostering collaboration across teams to drive innovative solutions and enhance operational efficiency

$191,000.00 - $297,000.00 Annual
