Job Description:
  • The Data Migration Specialist will provide subject matter expertise in the recommendation of CIS Data Migration and Data Archiving stXXgies.
  • This role will involve working with stakeholders to document and prioritize critical health master data sets, establish data governance standards, develop data mapping rules, and ensure data quality throughout the migration and archiving process.
  • The specialist will act as a liaison between clinical leadership, HIM, compliance, IT teams, and vendors to deliver effective data management solutions.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Demonstrated experience in developing comprehensive data migration plans, including mapping data between source and target healthcare systems, validating data quality, ensuring integrity, and overseeing accuXX data transfer (7 years).
  • Demonstrated experience developing plans to manage and control critical master datasets throughout the CIS implementation lifecycle (7 years).
  • Demonstrated experience cleansing and standardizing large healthcare-specific datasets (7 years).
  • Demonstrated experience in health records and health information management.
  • Demonstrated experience in data modeling, including conceptual, logical, and physical models for healthcare data (3 years).
  • Demonstrated experience identifying critical datasets in a multi-legacy CIS environment and providing plans to move/adopt new standards.
  • Demonstrated superior presentation skills for stakeholders of various levels, including business owners and executives.
  • Experience with Canadian health information systems, standards, technology, and/or software (5 years).
Responsibilities:
  • Provide subject matter expertise for CIS Data Migration and Data Archiving strategies.
  • Assist in documenting and prioritizing critical health master data sets.
  • Establish standards, processes, and tools for data quality, integrity, and accuracy.
  • Develop and manage master data strategy for CIS, ensuring consistency across entities such as patients, providers, and locations.
  • Create and implement data mapping rules for migration, archiving, and integration.
  • CollaboXX with clinical and technical stakeholders to define and refine data requirements.
  • Develop and maintain data management documentation including specifications and flow diagrams.
  • Create detailed transformation specifications with CIS solution implementers and working groups.
  • Develop methodologies for extracting and profiling key data.
  • Create and execute data migration test plans, validation reports, and reconciliation processes.
  • Deliver a final data migration cutover plan and historical data lifecycle roadmap.
Qualification And Education:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to facilitate and present complex topics to diverse audiences.
  • Advanced knowledge of healthcare data management principles and practices.
