Job Summary
We are seeking a results-driven, detail-oriented Regulatory Project Manager to lead the execution of Anti Money Laundering (AML) remediation projects within the Commercial Bank's In-Business Risk and Control team. This role will focus on Consent Orders, Matters Requiring Attention (MRAs), and other regulatory-driven initiatives, ensuring projects are executed to meet regulatory expectations, internal risk standards, and stakeholder commitments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in regulatory project delivery, proven experience drafting responses to regulators, and familiarity with AML programs and operational practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of complex, cross-functional AML remediation projects tied to regulatory actions, including Consent Orders and MRAs for the Commercial Bank.
- Develop, track, and maintain comprehensive project plans with clear milestones, deliverables, and ownership.
- Draft formal updates, memos, and regulatory response documents outlining project status, remediation efforts, and risk mitigation activities.
- Coordinate across business units, control partners (e.g. Compliance/FCRM), and Internal Audit to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Monitor project risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate and resolve as needed to meet remediation commitments.
- Maintain ongoing documentation and evidence to support audit and regulatory review readiness.
- Support the design and refinement of first-line controls and business procedures where applicable.
- Participate in or lead Steering Committees, status meetings, and working groups to ensure engagement across impacted stakeholders.

responsibilities:
Must Have
- 8+ years of experience in project management or business execution roles, ideally within the financial services industry.
- Direct experience managing regulatory remediation efforts, including Consent Orders, MRAs, or enforcement actions.
- Strong written communication skills, including experience drafting executive-level updates and regulatory correspondence.
- Working knowledge of AML programs, including transaction monitoring, KYC, CIP, and sanctions.
- Experience working with or supporting 2nd Line of Defense (Compliance/FCRM) and Internal Audit functions.
- Ability to lead with autonomy while navigating complex stakeholder environments.
- Expertise in MS Project, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
qualifications:
Nice to Have
- PMP or CAMS certification.
- Experience in Commercial Banking or Business Operational Risk roles.
- Familiarity with regulatory agencies (e.g. OCC, FRB, FinCEN) and their examination processes.
