Job Details

Role: MDM Business Analyst with P&C (Property & Casualty) insurance

Location: Framingham, MA

Longterm contract

Key responsibilities
Requirements analysis: Gathering and documenting requirements for Master Data Management (MDM) solutions by collaborating with various stakeholders, including underwriting, claims, policy, and customer service teams.
Data governance and quality: Defining and enforcing data governance rules, data quality metrics, and stewardship models for critical data entities like customers, brokers, and policies.
Business process improvement: Working to identify, analyze, and document workflows, creating process maps, and finding opportunities to improve data management and business efficiency.
Stakeholder management: Acting as a "translator" between the business (brokers, underwriters) and technical teams, clearly communicating business needs and complex data concepts.
MDM implementation: Supporting the design, testing, and delivery of MDM solutions. This may involve data profiling, data mapping, and validating the creation of "golden records".
Broker-specific tasks: Focusing on data related to the broker lifecycle, including onboarding, performance tracking, commission management, and ensuring accurate broker information is consistently maintained across all systems.

Qualifications and skills
P&C insurance knowledge: A deep understanding of the P&C insurance sector, including policy administration, underwriting, claims, and the role of insurance brokers.
MDM expertise: Experience with MDM concepts, processes, and platforms (such as Informatica) is required.
Data proficiency: Strong data analysis skills to handle complex, messy data. This includes data profiling, data mapping, and experience with tools like SQL.
Agile experience: Proficiency with Agile methodologies (Scrum/SAFe) for managing product backlogs and working with cross-functional teams.
Communication skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities to effectively liaison with technical and non-technical teams and to troubleshoot data issues.
