Job Details

Comtech is seeking a resource to develop, configure, administer, and support Microsoft Power Apps, .NET applications, Power BI dashboards/reports, and SharePoint solutions. The resource will lead application deployment processes in alignment with State standards and coordinate with State teams for required infrastructure setup. Responsibilities include implementing integrations with State Enterprise Architecture Services, APIs, and identity management systems, along with establishing failover and audit-ready validation processes. The resource will also collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, facilitate meetings, support testing, and ensure successful delivery of all solution components.

The Senior Application Programmer will be responsible for tasks including but not limited to:

  • Development, administration, configuration and support of Microsoft Power Application,

.NET applications, Microsoft Power BI dashboards and reports and SharePoint;

  • Leading application deployment processes and strategies that align with State standards
  • Set up, configure and coordinate with State teams on the implementation of infrastructure to

support business requirements (i.e. databases, servers, etc.);

  • Implement integrations with State Enterprise Architecture Services, specific APIs, identity

Management and related services;

  • Develop application specific failover processes and strategies to ensure services align with

defined Service Level Agreements;

  • Develop integration strategies and validation processes such that audit capabilities are

incorporated and easily utilized;

  • Meet and communicate with business and technical subject matter experts to identify and

understand requirements. Facilitate meetings, testing activities, and other tasks needed to

support the implementation of the requirements.

Expertise and/or Relevant Experience:

Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are mandatory:

M1

3+ years of expertise and/or relevant experience in any combination of the following areas:

  • Power Platform development, including Model-Driven and Canvas applications,

PCF Controls, Power Automate, and Power BI.

M2

5+ years of experience in any combination of the following areas:

  • C#
  • ASP.NET Core
  • JavaScript
  • HTML/CSS
  • Entity Framework

M3

Experience implementing Power BI dashboards for public consumption.

M4

Experience with Visual Studio and Azure DevOps; including source control and pipelines.

M5

Experience working with SSIS, SSRS, and/or SQL Server (T-SQL)

Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are desirable but not mandatory:

D1

Experience implementing technical solutions with the State of Louisiana, Department of

Public Safety;

D2

Experience leading client engagements from strategy through solution implementation,

including strategy, governance, operating models, design, delivery, deployment and ongoing

maintenance;

D3

Has lead a team of developers.

Experience with Agile and/or Scrum methodology.

D5

Preferred Certifications: Power Platform Developer Associate, Power Platform App Maker

Associate, Microsoft D365 Fundamentals or Microsoft Dynamics CRM Applications

Specialist or Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Deployment
