Hello there ,

We are currently seeking a skilled Cobol Developer to join our team in Pittsburgh. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Cobol programming and experience working with hybrid environments. This position requires 3 days per week in the office.

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Employment Type: Full-time ,W2 only

Work Schedule: 3 days in office

IT - Software Engineer - Contractor
Hybrid in Pittsburgh 3 days in office
flexible start time between 6-8am EST 8 hr work day (start time may need to be earlier on the front end of the assignment to ensure knowledge transfer with current FTE who starts early)
M-F 40 hours

Intended length of assignment is 1/31/2025 with a possibility of extension/contract to hire
This position is contract with the right to hire if a need becomes available. Manager will only look at candidates that are open to converting to a full time PNC employee. PNC will not sponsor work visas if the decision is made to hire the contingent worker.
OT: Potentially but rare
No travel necessary for this role

COBOL Experience - Batch and Online (Programs and CICS Screens)
Experience with mainframe tools - JCL / Proc / CICS / CA7
Knowledge of VSAM and tools to access VSAM files
Knowledge of DB2 and tools to access (i.e. SPUFI)
Some knowledge of ETL (Informatica) and Toad/SQL
Use of Informatica tools(Workflow Manager, Monitor, Designer)
Some knowledge of EDW and Teradata/SQL
Endevor (Source Management Tool) experience

Knowledge of Systemware (report storage)
Knowledge/use of ServiceNow

Familiarity with Currency Transaction Reporting and Actimize CTR application

Bachelor's degree required preferably in a technology field
