Title: GIS Data Architect/Analyst
Location: Remote (Louisiana-based project)

Job Description:
A long-term contract opportunity is available for a GIS Data Architect/Analyst to support a public-sector IT initiative. The role is focused on geospatial data modeling, advanced data processing, and the integration of artificial intelligence techniques. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining GIS data models and related ETL processes to support geospatial data warehousing and analytics.
Mandatory Skills and Experience:
Candidates must have demonstrated expertise in the following areas:
GIS Data Modeling for geospatial applications
Data Warehousing with emphasis on geospatial and temporal data integration
Linear Referencing Systems (LRS)
Linear Referencing Methods for managing and analyzing linear data such as roadways or pipelines
Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence tools and techniques, specifically:
Machine Learning (ML)
Deep Learning (DL)
Large Language Models (LLMs)
Generative Pre-trained Transformers (GPTs)
Preferred (Not Required) Skills:
Additional experience in the following areas will be considered a plus:
Feature Manipulation Engine (FME) including:
Use of Readers and Writers for Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) operations
Handling cross-platform geospatial data formats
Scripting and Coding skills for building and optimizing ETL pipelines
