ClickUp, a leading productivity platform, is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Manager to lead our Fields team. This dynamic full-stack engineering team specializes in developing robust features that streamline the usage and administration of custom fields within our app.

About the Fields Team:

The Fields team is a remote, full-stack team of six dedicated engineers, evenly divided between front-end and back-end development. The team uses Angular to create intuitive user interfaces, and develops scalable services with Node.js, all operating on an AWS infrastructure. In addition to these talented individuals, the team is supported by a dedicated QA specialist and a Product Manager, ensuring high-quality outputs and clear direction.

Collaboration is at the heart of the Fields team's success, requiring seamless interaction not only within the team but also with peer teams based in the US to align strategies and achieve company-wide goals.

Responsibilities:

As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of front-end and back-end engineers.
  • Ensuring the development of high-quality, scalable, and innovative features in our product.
  • Driving technical projects and providing leadership in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems.
  • Establishing effective communication channels between the Europe-based Fields Team and US-based teams.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement through code reviews, design discussions, and performance optimization.
  • Managing timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation effectively.

Qualifications:

Qualities of a successful candidate:

  • Proven experience in managing a team of software engineers and delivering high-quality software products.
  • Strong background in full-stack development with hands-on experience in Angular and Node.js.
  • Deep understanding of cloud services, preferably AWS, and best practices in infrastructure management.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a geographically distributed team.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools.
  • Superior communication and collaboration abilities to work harmoniously with teams across different time zones.
  • Passionate about technology with a constant desire to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Salary Range: $200,000 - $242,500 USD. This position is eligible for the following benefits:
