Description: Our client is currently seeking a Infrastructure & Operations Manager
This role is hybrid in Bloomington, MN

Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning & Portfolio Management: Leads the strategy definition, planning, selection, and on-going management of infrastructure technologies that drive & deliver business results. Effectively collaborates across the organization to build technology strategies and roadmaps to support business objectives. Manage services, technology solutions & lifecycles to optimize total cost of ownership and budget across the portfolio while maximizing value.
  • Service & Asset Management: Oversees key services and assets of network management, client services, voice and mobility, identity and access management, collaboration and user productivity, infrastructure and hosting, facilities support, and IT service operations.
  • Project Delivery: Responsible for successfully delivering infrastructure hardware and software solutions and services using best practices to meet the needs of the business. Ensures short-term and long-term needs are balanced in alignment with infrastructure portfolio and IT governance.
  • Support and Operations Management: Leads the operational maintenance and support of our end-user environment. Ensures the necessary knowledge, processes, and capabilities of IT infrastructure support & operations is in place within and across teams to ensure customer satisfaction. Works with other IT leadership ensuring the overall department delivers secure, reliable, available and accurate technical solutions.
  • Vendor / Partner Management: Works closely with technology vendors and partners to deliver and manage solutions. Definition, design, and oversight of contract agreements including budget management and service management to ensure optimal delivery.
  • Continuous Improvement: Ensures knowledge management, infrastructure development and support, and standards, policies, processes, and best practices are reviewed, updated and implemented on a regular basis.
  • Talent Development and Management: Develops a high performing, engaged team by building skills through coaching, mentoring and ongoing training & development. Manages a team of employees and helps create individual development plans for continuous learning & growth. Establishes and manages performance expectations and defines roles and responsibilities. Prioritizes work and guides accordingly. Defines and implements an optimal delivery model for best use of employees, contractors, and vendors / partners. Part of IT Leadership team and helps mature our capabilities.
Qualifications:
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or 10+ years equivalent related IT experience
  • 3+ years of vendor / partner management for project delivery, maintenance, and support
  • 3+ years of defining, leading, shaping, and overseeing infrastructure portfolios and roadmaps aligned with business and technology needs
  • 3+ years of direct personnel oversight and leading of others through influence
  • 5+ years experience overseeing the gathering requirements, architecting, designing, building, testing, implementing, integrating and system administration in both on-prem and cloud environments.
  • Prefer experience with migration to cloud.
  • 5+ years experience operations and support experience including executing and implementing IT service management such as incident management, request management, change management, knowledge management and service level reporting and metrics.
  • Conceptual and working knowledge of program, project, and portfolio management best practices and principles.
  • Conceptual and working knowledge implementing security related standards into infrastructure related processes (design, implementation, support, and operations)
  • Experience in the Professional Services and / or Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industry preferred
  • Experience in working with geographically disbursed teams, remote users, and offices preferred
  • Experience managing Microsoft (M365, D365, Active Directory, Azure, SQL, client and server operating systems) preferred
