In the Customer Service & Support (CSS) team we are looking for people with a passion for delivering customer success. As a Senior Technical Support Engineer, you will own, troubleshoot, and solve highly complex customer technical issues. Responsibilities

Response and Resolution: You own, investigate, and solve highly complex customer technical issues and serve as a technical escalation point for other engineers to assist in resolving cases and perform complex troubleshooting tasks (e.g., debugging).
Readiness: You lead in building communities with peer delivery roles and share your knowledge through readiness programs, technical coaching and mentoring of others.
You deepen your technical and professional proficiency to enable you to resolve highly complex customer issues, through training and readiness.
Product/Process Improvement: You act as a trusted advisor to the product group/ engineering teams and drive Microsoft product, diagnostic and support process improvements.
Business Integration: You use your business and technology insights to help shape strategy when engaging with customers, partners, and teams.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or related field AND 5+ years of technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience OR 7+ years of technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements:
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and / or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire / transfer and every two years thereafter.
  • This position requires verification of citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, and as a condition of employment, the successful candidate's citizenship will be verified with a valid passport.
Additional and or Preffered Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3+ years Security Incident Response experience with recent operational security experience (SOC, Malware Analysis, IDS/IPS Analysis, threat analytics, windows server, and endpoint security, etc.)
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in Network Security Administration, and/or Systems Administration with experience in Windows Server, Windows Client, and Active Directory Administration
  • Minimum 3+ years customer facing experience
    Experience supporting large and complex geographically distributed enterprise environments with 1000+ users
  • Cloud experience with any of the major cloud providers, including cloud security, networking, and migration of multi-cloud or hybrid deployments
  • Automation (PowerShell and/or Python, or a similar language, can be a beginner to intermediate level).
  • Experience in Azure Identity management and troubleshooting
  • Preferred Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field, or relevant work experience
  • Preferred IT Industry certifications (Microsoft Certifications On-Prem or Cloud, SANS GCIH, CISSP, CEH, Amazon AWS, etc.)
Technical Support Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
