Role: SmartCOMM Product Owner
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and drive the product vision and roadmap for Smart Communications / Document management capabilities.
- Define and prioritize features, user stories, and product backlog items (PBIs) to align with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, architects, and developers to ensure end-to-end understanding of the document lifecycle (e.g., origination, HR, partner onboarding).
- Lead the design and implementation of a new rules engine to support dynamic document generation based on state-specific or policy-specific changes.
- Evaluate and optimize current usage of Smart Communications and DocuSign to ensure full potential is being leveraged.
- Act as the voice of the customer and business, ensuring that solutions deliver value incrementally and efficiently.
- Identify and remove delivery bottlenecks, driving performance and continuous improvement.
- Translate complex requirements into clear, actionable plans and guide the team through execution.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in digital transformation projects
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Sr business Analyst in a Customer communication management / document management projects
- Strong understanding of CCM platforms, ideally with exposure to Smart Communications and DocuSign.
- Experience leading product development in environments with complex business rules and compliance needs.
- Ability to see the big picture and translate vision into actionable steps.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Experience working with or integrating rules engines is a strong plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with document generation platforms (e.g., Exstream, SmartComm).
- Understanding of enterprise architecture and system integration flows
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.
- Understanding of forms design / layout elements (font sizes, types and families, bar codes, margins, graphical elements, color palettes, data tags, page assembly )
- Ability to express rules in decision tables, pseudo code or other structured methods easily translatable to rules engine usage
- Preferred knowledge and experience: Document generation technology, print and mailing processes, and forms definition tool experience.
