Job Details

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Platform Engineer with strong expertise in Azure, Databricks, and Snowflake. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring and maintaining platform components, ensuring governance alignment, optimizing performance, and evaluating new platform features to support data engineering and analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and maintain Databricks (clusters, jobs, Unity Catalog) and Snowflake (RBAC, schema provisioning, workload isolation).

  • Manage and enforce proper access control policies using RBAC and ACLs.

  • Align platform configurations with data governance and compliance standards.

  • Evaluate and implement enhancements and new features in Databricks and Snowflake (e.g., Unity Catalog upgrades, platform version updates).

  • Monitor and optimize Databricks compute and Snowflake warehouse performance for improved efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to support infrastructure needs.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure cloud services.

  • Proficient in configuring and managing Databricks environments and Snowflake data platforms.

  • In-depth understanding of RBAC, ACLs, schema provisioning, and workload management.

  • Familiarity with Unity Catalog and its integration with governance policies.

  • Experience in performance tuning and resource optimization in Databricks and Snowflake.

  • Solid problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to platform management.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
