job summary:

As a key Agile leader within a large-scale SAFe environment, the Senior Scrum Master / Team Coach will serve as both a servant leader and agile mentor to Agile Teams and Agile Release Trains (ARTs). This role is instrumental in promoting Agile maturity, facilitating team-level and ART-level ceremonies, coaching on Lean-Agile best practices, and removing impediments to drive business value. Strong experience with the Atlassian suite-especially Jira Align-is critical, and candidates must hold a SAFe 6.0 Scrum Master Certification . The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, people-focused, and passionate about driving continuous improvement and agile transformation at scale.

responsibilities:


  • Coach and mentor Agile Teams to improve maturity, performance, and delivery capabilities
  • Facilitate all Agile ceremonies including Iteration Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives, and Daily Standups
  • Prepare teams for and lead participation in Program Increment (PI) Planning events
  • Drive adoption and best practices of Jira Align and the broader Atlassian suite (Jira Software, Confluence, FigJam)
  • Champion Built-in Quality practices such as BDD, automated testing, and technical excellence
  • Guide teams on Lean, SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, and flow-based delivery practices
  • Partner with Product Owners to refine backlogs and ensure alignment with business value
  • Foster transparency by ensuring team dashboards, metrics, and radiators are up-to-date
  • Measure and optimize team flow, competency development, and outcome metrics (OKRs)
  • Promote a culture of trust, psychological safety, collaboration, and continuous learning
  • Support cross-team collaboration and whole-product solution development
  • Represent the team in ART-level events and synchronize deliverables across dependencies
  • Coach business and technical stakeholders on Agile mindset and value delivery
  • Actively engage in Communities of Practice and enterprise-wide SAFe transformation efforts
  • Encourage T-shaped skill development and innovation during the Innovation and Planning (IP) iteration


qualifications:

Required Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Team Coach in large enterprise settings
  • SAFe 6.0 Scrum Master Certification (Required)
  • Expert-level proficiency with Jira Align, Jira Software, Confluence, and related tools
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills


Preferred Qualifications:



  • SAFe SASM, SPC, SA, or RTE certifications
  • Experience coaching SAFe across both IT and business teams
  • Familiarity with AgilityInsights, SAFe Studio, and ICAgile certifications
