The Opportunity

Based in either the Bay Area, CA or Seattle WA, this leader will be responsible for defining and implementing the strategic vision and innovative product roadmap transforming the industry while delivering exceptional customer experiences making Creative Cloud for video, Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, a core part of all creative workflows.

You will champion a culture of innovation, encouraging the exploration of new technologies and approaches, revolutionizing the world of motion graphics and setting the gold standard for future products from Adobe and the Industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all facets of product strategy, roadmap, and integrations within Creative Cloud for video / audio products and services. They will collaborate with engineering to innovate in all core areas related to the video creation portfolio. There will be a strong focus on understanding the market and competitors, identifying new opportunities for customer acquisition and retention, and using PLG and data-driven strategies.

You will bring a proven ability to deliver compelling user experiences, work effectively in a cross-organization, geographically distributed environment, and exercise leadership to make a profound impact through influence.

What you'll do
  • Lead the product strategy for Adobe's award-winning Digital Video and Audio products, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition.
  • Define and drive objectives and key results for transformational initiatives partnering with cross-functional category leadership to include design, product marketing, and engineering.
  • Articulate the vision in a way that resonates with diverse audiences, fostering a shared sense of purpose and direction. Foster an environment where employees are inspired to contribute to realizing the vision.
  • Spot risks, find opportunities, identify competitive landscapes, and emerging trends, and understand implications, breaking insights down into pragmatic actions.
  • Lead and build a team of high-impact product managers to bring the vision, roadmap and execution to fruition in long-lasting ways that reflect a deep sensitivity to customer needs.
  • Drive excellence in experience and execution across the platform portfolio in partnership with design and product marketing.
  • Lead a team of product managers who have deep experience in the industry, coaching them to achieve excellence in quality of PM artifacts (roadmaps, backlogs, PRDs) and data-driven decision making.
  • Bring a combination of critical thinking and pragmatic delivery to yield the best short-term and long-term results through defined product requirement, prioritized features and competitive landscape.

  • Evaluate and optimize organizational structures and processes for enhanced efficiency and agility.

  • Interactions frequently involve highly visible activities including influencing customers, partners and other executives.
  • Manage and allocate budgets effectively, ensuring optimal resource utilization.

  • Foster a sense of belonging and purpose, encouraging a strong connection to the vision and mission. Encourage a culture of continuous feedback, both formal and informal, to support individual and team development.
  • Be a leader with vision and evangelist in creating exceptional customer experiences.
  • Be on the lookout for strategic partnerships and M&A opportunities to bring more capabilities to Adobe. Should an opportunity present itself, the candidate should be able to build the case, bring it to the executive team and make the right relationship happen.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Proven product management leadership experience of 10+ years, including leading highly versatile and diverse teams of product managers.
  • Demonstrated excellence in the areas of customer insight, critical thinking, and product innovation.
  • Track record of product roadmap definition and execution.
  • The inherently collaborative and leading personality that enables you to win the hearts and minds of your peers to implement a complex product roadmap.
  • Proven track record of building and leading hard-working teams.
  • Proven track record of deep partnership with engineering, product marketing, and design counterparts.
  • A sense of urgency and ability to act quickly and decisively, possessing self-confidence to be assertive when taking a position, and not afraid to make decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a matrixed environment at scale partnering across all functions, business units, and geographies

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $179,100 -- $382,000 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
