Web Content Writer

Role: Content Copy Writer (Higher Education/Sitecore CMS) Location: Remote Duration: 2 to 3 months


Overview: We are seeking Creative Content Copywriters to support a Chicago-based Higher Education client in developing compelling, brand-aligned content for a new university website. You'll collaborate closely with our creative and strategy teams to bring established brand narratives and messaging to life across key web pages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write and refine website content that aligns with the university's brand voice, messaging framework, and creative direction.
• Collaborate with the Creative Director, Content Strategist, and design teams to ensure consistent tone, style, and storytelling across all site pages.
• Adapt and enhance partially completed content to maintain flow and consistency.
• Review and edit existing SharePoint site content for tone, clarity, and alignment with new brand narratives.
• Work in coordination with Sitecore authors and web publishing teams to ensure proper content placement and formatting.
• Incorporate feedback from creative stakeholders to continuously improve content quality.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a content copywriter or creative writer for web or digital platforms.
• Strong ability to craft engaging, audience-focused content based on brand guidelines and content strategy frameworks.
• Prior experience writing for Higher Education institutions or similar mission-driven organizations.
• Excellent storytelling, grammar, and editing skills with attention to voice consistency.
• Strong collaboration skills; comfortable working with creative and marketing teams.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with Sitecore CMS or other content management systems (basic authoring or content entry).
• Understanding of web content best practices, accessibility, and layout considerations (e.g., image cropping, text formatting).
