The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, proven expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes, and the ability to bridge the gap between finance and technology.

This role requires someone who can evaluate and optimize FP&A projection models, support automation initiatives, and ensure data integrity across complex financial systems. Prior experience in Life & Annuity insurance or financial services environments is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze FP&A processes forecasting, variance analysis, and scenario modeling to identify automation and efficiency opportunities.
  • Collaborate with FP&A and technology teams to define and document system requirements aligned with business and reporting needs.
  • Develop and execute test plans and UAT to validate system functionality and ensure financial data accuracy.
  • Partner with finance teams to ensure data integrity, consistency, and reliability across planning and reporting systems.
  • Assess existing FP&A workflows, identify inefficiencies, and propose improvements to enhance forecasting accuracy.
  • Serve as a liaison between Finance (FP&A) and IT, ensuring effective communication and timely delivery of project goals.
  • Support the design and delivery of dashboards, KPIs, and performance reports to improve decision-making.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree (MBA or MS in Finance) preferred but not required.

Skills & Experience:

  • 5 10+ years of experience in FP&A or financial systems roles within Life & Annuity insurance or financial services industries.
  • Proficiency in financial planning tools such as Hyperion, Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in forecasting, variance, and scenario analysis.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to clearly communicate financial and technical concepts.
  • Proven ability to identify process inefficiencies and recommend practical, data-driven solutions.
