Overview
Nakupuna Solutions is seeking a Quality Engineer II to provide software performance testing, data collection and analysis, and subject matter expertise supporting the execution of a large size, multi-year contract to the Integrated Personnel and Pay System - Army (IPPS-A) Army Military Payroll (AMP). The Quality Engineer II will conduct quality testing on the PeopleSoft HCM deliverables to ensure optimal performance for the Army client. The Quality Engineer II will be responsible for assessing software functionality and performance through both manual and automatic testing. The Quality Engineer II will gather and compile test metric data. Using this data, they will draft reports on the functionality and performance of the software for AMP and will distribute these reports to the Quality Engineer IV and other senior managers. These performance reports may also be delivered to the Army client. The Quality Engineer II should be comfortable working in an agile environment, resolving complex problems if and when they arise. Collaboration with the various Agile Teams will be a common aspect of the position, and the Quality Engineer II should be comfortable with data sharing and information sharing across teams.

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of experience within the federal government, DoD, Army, or IC and/or private sector preferred. Must have experience with Software Testing applications such as Azure Dev Ops (ADO), Tricentis Tosca, ALM, PeopleSoft, Workday, or other ERP experience a plus.
Skills/Qualifications: Certifications in IAT Level II and SAFe for Teams preferred. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Needs great interpersonal/communication skills. Able to translate customer requirements to team goals.
Clearance Requirements: This position requires a current Secret clearance.
Work Location: Work location will be in Arlington, Virginia 2 days on-site with a hybrid option. Occasional travel may be required

- Reviews software requirements and specifications to execute testing strategies for a product or release.
- Creates testable user stories and maintains them in an online repository.
- Codes reusable test functions or components.
- Executes manual as well as automated tests to assess software functionality and performance using multiple systems, platforms, environments, or browsers.
- Identifies, logs, and tracks defects and their resolutions.
- Reports technical issues to development or product management teams and verifies fixes.
- Performs work under general supervision.
- Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Possesses solid working knowledge of Quality Engineering processes.
