Job Details

We are looking for a hands-on, entrepreneurial ServiceNow Practice Lead to build and grow our ServiceNow consulting capability within a small but dynamic IT services firm in Chicago, IL. In this strategic role, you will define and execute the vision for the practice, lead end-to-end ServiceNow implementations, and serve as the primary advisor to clients. You'll work closely with senior leadership, manage a lean team, and be directly involved in delivering solutions while scaling the practice to meet growing demand. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in the ServiceNow platform, a strong consulting background, and the flexibility to wear multiple hats in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Practice Leadership:
    • Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for the ServiceNow practice in alignment with company goals.
    • Define service offerings and go-to-market strategies for ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, SecOps, and custom ServiceNow applications.
    • Build and lead a team of ServiceNow consultants, developers, architects, and engagement managers.
  • Client Engagement & Delivery:
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance on ServiceNow implementations and roadmaps.
    • Oversee the delivery of complex ServiceNow projects, ensuring high-quality results, on-time completion, and customer satisfaction.
    • Partner with clients to design and implement scalable, sustainable, and innovative ServiceNow solutions.
  • Sales & Business Development:
    • Collaborate with the sales team to support pre-sales efforts, including RFP responses, solution demos, and scope definition.
    • Drive revenue growth by identifying new opportunities within existing accounts and cultivating new client relationships.
    • Represent the ServiceNow practice in industry events, webinars, and marketing initiatives.
  • Team Development:
    • Mentor, and retain top ServiceNow talent.
    • Provide ongoing training and career development opportunities for team members.
    • Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in IT consulting or professional services, with at least 5 years focused on ServiceNow.
  • Proven experience leading ServiceNow implementations across multiple modules.
  • ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CIS (ITSM, HRSD, ITOM, etc.), and CTA preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL, Agile delivery, and enterprise architecture principles.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience establishing or growing a ServiceNow practice within a consulting firm.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and articulate value propositions.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), DevOps tools, and integration strategies.

Pay rate: $130K-$150K
