Location: Redwood City, CA (Hybrid, M/T/W and remote Th/F)
Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Description:

• We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Redwood City, California.
• In this role, you will oversee the planning and execution of complex projects, ensuring all moving parts align seamlessly to achieve organizational goals.
• This position requires a dynamic individual with a keen interest in artificial intelligence and a proven ability to manage evolving projects.

Summary:

• Project Manager with a background in software development
• Experienced PM that brings Agile, scrum, app development, SDLC
• They are cybersecurity software company. Lots moving projects and need the extra bandwidth
• If they come from the Cybersecurity industry that would be a huge plus
• Jira and confluence
• Want someone more agile and capable and adjusting quickly
• Need someone confident but flexible.
• Reports to their VP of Engineering
• 4 6 years exp is good.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate workflows and ensure all project components are aligned and progressing as planned.
• Manage staff capacity effectively, delegating tasks to optimize productivity within resource constraints.
• Facilitate communication across teams to ensure clarity and alignment on project objectives.
• Organize and maintain project calendars, keeping track of deadlines and deliverables.
• Adapt to evolving project requirements and maintain flexibility in planning and execution.
• Provide strategic guidance on ambitious project plans, ensuring feasibility and alignment with organizational goals.
• Utilize project management tools such as Jira to track progress and manage tasks effectively.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to support software development and other key initiatives.
• Monitor project performance and propose adjustments as necessary to stay on track.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in project management or a related field.
• Strong expertise in formal project management methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
• PMP certification is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in using project management tools like Jira to track and manage workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully manage cross-functional application development initiatives with knowledge of SDLC.
• Excellent organizational skills with a strong ability to manage calendars and deadlines.
• Proven capacity to adapt to changing project requirements and maintain flexibility.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate across diverse teams and stakeholders.
