The architecture team is small but strategic, working closely with both front and back-office development groups to deliver scalable, cloud-native solutions. How You Will Make An Impact:
  • Provide architectural expertise to the product development teams, ensuring technical solutions meet design expectations and business goals.
  • Serve as the architectural point of contact for a major modernization initiative overhauling legacy cash systems.
  • Provide oversight and validation for third-party development work, ensuring technical alignment and quality delivery.
  • Guide solution architecture across hybrid systems, ensuring scalability, resilience, and alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Design and implement proof-of-concepts (PoCs) to validate solutions for critical business scenarios.
  • Mentor developers and influence a shift toward modern, cloud-native thinking.
  • Support the modernization of legacy mainframe systems (e.g., .NET, Java, MQ) to AWS- native architectures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Product, and enterprise architecture teams) to streamline migrations and resolve technical escalations.


Are You a Cloud Solutioning Rock Star?
  • 10 years of software or architecture experience, including 3+ years in a Solutions Architect or similar role.
  • Strong experience in cloud-native architecture, particularly within AWS environments.
  • Proven ability to design and implement resilient, distributed systems that integrate legacy and modern platforms.
  • Proficiency in solutioning with technologies such as: Java (Spring Boot), Python,AWS services like Lambda, S3, Step Functions, DynamoDB, ECS, API Gateway, RDS, EventBridge, etc.
  • AngularJS (light usage), Terraform, Docker, NoSQL patterns, REST APIs
  • Background in modernization of mainframe or legacy systems (.NET, MQ, Java, 40+ year stack experience is beneficial).
  • Strong grasp of architecture concepts like event storming, domain-driven design, layered or microservice architecture.
  • Ability to serve as a bridge between technical implementation and strategic design decisions.
  • Comfortable mentoring developers and explaining design rationale clearly.
  • Effective communicator with strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
  • Experience supporting production systems and resolving escalated technical issues.


Bonus Points For
  • Familiarity with tools and platforms like NewRelic (APM), Bitbucket/Git, Okta, Snowflake, Talend, and LocalStack.
  • Understanding of secure coding practices and resilient application design.
  • Exposure to test-driven (TDD) or behavior-driven development (BDD).
  • A consulting mindset - able to assess business needs and provide thoughtful, tailored solutions.
  • Interest in long-term tenure with a company - this team values stability, ownership, and business knowledge accumulation over time.
