POSITION SUMMARY:
Assists in the development, maintenance, and support of web applications, databases, reports, and dashboards. Works under supervision to update existing applications and assist in creating new ones. The candidate should have strong attention to detail, be eager to learn, and work collaboratively within the Enterprise Applications environment.
POSITION EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree Required
Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
Ability to interpret requirements and technical specifications and translate and present in an understandable and user-friendly manner.
Working knowledge of web application architectures.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
JOB KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
0-2 years of experience in web development, business intelligence, or a related technology role (internship or academic project experience accepted).
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one programming language such as Python or ASP.NET.
Familiarity with databases and an understanding of APIs and web services is preferred.
Willingness to learn enterprise development tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Functional knowledge of ASP.NET, Python, HTML, CSS, Javascript, and AJAX.
General understanding of web services architecture, APIs, SDKs, web servers, content management systems, and portals.
Responsibilities:
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Codes, tests, debugs, and implements or modifies web applications with focus on performance, security, accessibility and ease of use by utilizing enterprise development frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
Perform routine updates to existing web applications and content management systems.
Help prepare and maintain technical documentation.
Participate in requirements gathering sessions and help translate basic business requirements into technical tasks.
Support the development of reports and dashboards by assisting with data preparation and layout design.
Learn and follow established software development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
Work collaboratively with senior engineers and stakeholders to ensure projects meet functional and technical specifications.
May be assigned as lead engineer on projects.
Designs, develops, and maintains dynamic websites and web applications in the Content Management Systems.
Interacts with customers to document business requirements, translate them in to technical specifications, conduct business process analysis, and create conceptual designs while fitting into the overall context of existing IT systems and processes.
Designs and implements scalable data schema to support web applications.
Prepares and maintains technical and support documentation, documents procedures, creates reports and provide training for users.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

B. Working Conditions: The individual spends over 95% of his/her time in an air-conditioned environment with varying exposures to noise. There is protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. The position does have low exposure to malodorous, infectious body fluids from patients and some minimal exposure to noxious smells from cleansing agents.
C. Occupational Exposure: This position has minimal to no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues and is an OSHA Category III (although situations can be imagined or hypothesized under which anyone, anywhere, might encounter potential exposure to body fluids). Person who performs these duties are not called upon as part of their employment to perform or assist in emergency medical care or first aid or to be potentially exposed in some other way.
