Job Details
Summary
Leads site activities for production planning, material forecasting, and inventory management in support of manufacturing and supply of the product family to meet customer needs in the areas of quality, delivery, cost and cGMP compliance.
Essential Functions
- Coordinate with Global Supply Chain Planning, Mallinckrodt sites, and international partners to plan and execute on all forecasted requirements to assure adequate supply of materials and devices needed while maintaining inventory at planned levels.
- Participate in Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process, providing feasibility of production plans and identifying executional constraints.
- Update Site outlook within SIOP Supply Review meetings for site capacity, performance and projects with Global Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, Quality and Manufacturing.
- Convert Master Production Schedule (monthly supply plan) into executable (weekly/ daily) production schedule.
- Communicate and coordinate with Manufacturing Lead to generate and implement production schedules required to execute the supply plan, considering manufacturing capacities, materials availability, workforce and manufacturing efficiencies.
- Manage line capacity, labor availability and sequencing constraints.
- Support material purchasing and non-conforming material return activities.
- Master Data Management (SAP).
- Utilize inventory data to ensure raw material availability.
- Raise alerts for unplanned downtime, supplier capacity issues or material constraints.
- Coordinates and executes on distribution and fulfillment requirements.
- Performs periodic analysis of inventory and fulfillment trends to identify areas of improvement.
- Consolidate and report KPI s for schedule adherence, OEE, line utilization, downtime .
- Drive efforts to reduce costs.
- Drives all internal and external communication related to availability and forecast fulfillment of materials.
- Develops, implements and maintains policies, procedures and material control systems related to materials under their control.
- Assists in the evaluation of supplier performance to improve quality, delivery and price performance.
- Assists in physical inventory and cycle counts to ensure the appropriate levels of materials are maintained. Support the annual company-wide inventory.
- Participate in material review board and signs-off for scrapping materials
- Participate in supplier selection team meetings
- Maintain a weekly hot list and leads components review for product family
- Oversee and organize material transfers between local warehouses
- Provide procurement support and supplier-issue resolution, if needed
Minimum Requirements
Education / Experience / Skills:
- Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Science, Engineering, or Business preferred and/or combination of experience and education in a technical or business field
- 5+ years experience in Supply Chain management with a focus in Sourcing, Planning, Logistics, and/or New Product Introduction.
- APICS Certification preferred.
- Good working knowledge of cGMP and quality management system
- Experience with pharma and/or medical devices preferred.
- Project Management qualification is preferred.
- Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning process experience
- Strong ERP System experience required (ideally SAP/ SAP IBP).
- Working in global teams an advantage
