IT Support Specialist - Service Desk

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT Support Specialist to join our Service Desk team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, providing excellent support, and working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding Level 1 technical support and customer service to end users.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for IT-related issues, gathering and analyzing information to resolve or escalate problems.
  • Use knowledge base articles and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to resolve known issues efficiently.
  • Escalate complex issues to Level 2 or Level 3 support when necessary.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve break/fix issues, software/hardware configurations, installations, and repairs (including in-house or depot coordination).
  • Assist with hardware setup, imaging, and peripheral support.
  • Support users experiencing "stuck sessions" or access issues.
  • Accurately document all activities and interactions in the ticketing system.
  • Provide support for remote and home office users as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to empathize and communicate effectively.
  • Solid troubleshooting abilities and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with at least three of the following: Windows OS, Microsoft Office, Active Directory, VDI, desktop imaging, hardware provisioning, remote access tools, or telephony systems.
  • Familiarity with remote/home office support challenges.
  • Scripting or experience with IT administration consoles is a plus.

Additional Details:

  • Support hours are between 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM; candidates will work an 8-hour shift with a 1-hour lunch.
  • Participation in an on-call rotation is expected after initial onboarding and training.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
