Summary:
We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer to support Client s Core Shopping experience on desktop and mobile web platforms. This role blends manual testing with the responsibility of developing and executing automation to improve coverage and efficiency. The ideal candidate understands the full system ecosystem and has prior experience working in shopping, retail, or e-commerce environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand how all elements of the system software ecosystem work together and develop QA approaches that align with overall engineering strategy
- Develop test strategies and create appropriate test harnesses
- Provide test infrastructure that enables engineering teams to own the quality of their services
- Serve as a stakeholder in release processes, ensuring defects are resolved per SLA and customer experience is preserved
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, monitor test execution, and report on quality metrics
- Conduct manual testing for desktop and mobile web across multiple browsers and devices
- Build and execute automation where appropriate to increase efficiency and coverage
- Support testing for accessibility compliance (especially for European requirements)
Basic Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Quality Assurance engineering experience
- Strong experience with manual testing of web applications
- Experience with automation testing, including scripting and coding
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language: Python, Java, or Perl
- Prior experience working in shopping, retail, or e-commerce platforms
- Familiarity with creating test plans and documenting test cases
- Solid understanding of web technologies and browsers
Preferred Qualifications:
- Deep hands-on technical expertise in QA methodologies and testing strategies
- Experience with automated test frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, or Cypress
- Experience gathering test requirements, defining test plans, and establishing quality metrics
- Familiarity with Client internal tools (UIFact, STS) is a plus
- Experience with accessibility testing standards (WCAG, etc.)
- Ability to write automation scripts/programs that aid in automated testing
- Prior experience working at Client or other large-scale e-commerce environments
Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $40.00 - $45.00/hr. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience and the benefits package you select. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages. Packages may include medical, dental, and vision benefits, 10 paid days off, 401(k) plan participation, commuter benefits and life and disability insurance.
