Software Dev Engineer III / Java / Onsite / Seattle, WA
Our client is an e-commerce powerhouse company. Based out of Seattle, WA, they are looking to hire a Software Dev Engineer III on a contractual basis.
In addition to e-commerce, this client is a focused-on retail, aviation, and robotics. The Content Platform team is looking for a Software Development Engineer. who will act as first level support and development for all incoming production software application issues dealing with merchandising applications.
Contract Duration: 3-Months+, potential to extend

Required Skills & Experience
- A Computer Science or equivalent technical degree and 2-5 years of relevant experience is required.
- They must be detail oriented, have superior verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, are able to work independently and can maintain professionalism under pressure
Desired Coding Skills
- Perl, C/C++ and/or Java
- Other desired technical skills include Mason, Perl CGI, Oracle SQL, HTML, UNIX/LINUX.
What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities
- Developing monitoring solutions, troubleshooting/debugging and implementing the fix for internally developed code (Perl, C/C++, JAVA), performing SQL queries, improving our systems that gather metrics on our features, updating, tracking and resolving technical challenges.
- Responsibilities also include working alongside development on Corporate and Divisional Software projects, updating/enhancing our current software, automation of support processes and documentation of our systems.
